The practise of mindfulness is proven to deliver amazing results in terms of well-being and productivity. Yet mindfulness doesn’t work for most people and I’ve come to hear people growing scepticism about it.

There is an important detail about mindfulness that prevents it from fully delivering it benefits and the detail it that it is a “practice”, and as such, it needs to be practised!

So, sitting for a few minutes and counting your breaths, paying attention to the present moment one time every now and then, won’t do much for you, but rather be a waste of time.

Like most skills that you really want to master, it is the practice for 10-20 minutes, every given day, for 10 years, that will make the difference.

And this is the difference between talking about mindfulness and living mindfully.
