A nice sentence I heard watching a video from Tim Robbins is: “Most people overestimate what they can achieve in 1 year, but highly underestimate what they can achieve in 10 years!”. Look back at your life and see if this is true for you. You definitely realise how difficult it is to make big changes in a short time. When you want to take on new education, when you want to change significantly your career path or when you want to learn a new complex skill. It does take time to learn and even more to achieve mastery. On the contrary some of you can look back at where you were 10 years ago in your life and be amazed about how far along you have come, making multiple career steps, moving out of your country, in some cases getting married and starting a family. These are really remarkable things. So, if for some reason you currently feel you have now plateaued in your life professionally or in terms of personal development and that you need a change, please remember that it takes time! It takes time, but you have great chances of achieving massive change if you are in it for the long term, not the immediate reward. Good planning, persistence and patience can take you to the moon, or nearly there! #longterm
